Student Well-Being

Physical Well-being

At Victory World Christian School your student’s physical well-being and safety are paramount in all we do.  The school’s facilities are designed with student safety in mind.  With security, automatic locking doors, and video monitoring on campus, parents, students, and teachers can be confident in their physical safety.

Physical Activity

At the elementary ages, physical activity is essential to developing children.  As such, students are encouraged to be physically active each day with recess time, and weekly with PE classes.  Additionally, after school programs like TaeKwonDo and our in-school soccer training conducted by the Cornerstone Soccer Club both provide even more physical activity for our students.

Wholesome Tummies

While students can bring lunch from home, Wholesome Tummies Café (WT Café)  provides hot lunch choices on campus each day.  WT Café is a fresh from scratch food franchise company that delivers meals to kids and families everywhere they learn and play. Their goal is to provide children and families with the wholesome foods they need to live long, healthy lives. By preparing healthy food in creative ways, WT Café helps kids to discover the joy of fresh, natural foods and ultimately, to choose them over less-nutritious alternatives.  WT Café is a convenient option for an incredible variety of fresh foods with a taste kids love and ingredients parents trust. Our local kitchen teams prepare and deliver food fresh daily, and our customers order food on our website.

Mental Well-being

Victory World Christian School seeks to support student well-being whenever possible.  To do so, we have partnered with Dr. Robert Montes, a Christian and experienced educational and family therapist, who joined Victory World Christian School in 2016 as an adjunct member of our school’s staff. Dr. Bob Montes is the founder and owner of Trinity Educational Psychology and Counseling Services and his office located in Johns Creek. Dr. Montes is a counseling psychologist who practices his craft with a distinctly Christian perspective. He specializes in a number of areas including psycho-educational testing of children, adolescents, and adults; individual counseling; pre-marital, marital, and family therapy; and Life Coaching.

Dr. Montes received his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, a Masters of Arts in Pastoral Counseling and Psychology from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ashland, Ohio, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Akron, in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Montes has been practicing psychology since his graduation from the University of Akron in 1998 and considers some of his strengths to be in marriage and family counseling, psychological and educational assessments and interventions, and Life Coaching which focuses on helping clients to discover their true potential.

Dr. Montes also has extensive training and experience in utilizing Neuro-Feedback, a treatment modality that is considered by many to be the best alternative to medicine when parents attempt to help their children overcome numerous psychological and emotional challenges. This treatment is considered to be a Level 1 treatment for AD/HD according to the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Montes helps us to better understand how best to educate our students and when requested, support our parents and staff as well. Dr. Montes will on occasion meet with students, parents, and staff to perform different assessments meant to gauge any specific educational interventions necessary to help our students achieve their highest academic success. If you have any questions about Dr. Montes and his role on our staff, please feel free to give us a call at your convenience.
