Our IB Learner Profile focus of the month will be Thinker. The attribute is described as people who “use critical and creative thinking skills to analyze and take responsible action on complex problems.” Mrs. Mary, our school librarian, began selecting Books of the Month to go along with the Learner Profiles of the Month. These selections are meant to illustrate these attributes in informational and literary text. She will also go to each classroom in K4-2nd grade to do read-alouds of the book selections. She has chosen “Swimmy” by Leo Lioni for grades K4-2nd and “Lives of the Scientists: Experiments, Explosions (and What the Neighbors Thought)” by Kathleen Krull and Kathryn Hewitt.
